Healing is non-linear. Art-making is non-linear. We're making space for both.
For Free Fringe Philly, we’re hosting an evening of theatre works-in-progress by black lgbtq artists. We want your drafts and your half-finished scripts. We define theatre broadly. Send us your choreopoems, TV pilots, dramatic monologues, one acts, sketches, ten minute musicals, screenplays, performance art, and solo shows.
How does this work?
Step One: Submit your wonderful work. We would love submissions around the theme of healing and growth, but this is not required!
Step Two: After your work is accepted (or while you wait!), put together a team. We can help you find folks!
Step Three: Rehearse with your team as often or as little as you’d like. We can help with space suggestions!
Step Four: See your work come to life at the showcase! Works-in-progress can be presented as on-book staged readings. This is an opportunity to hear your work aloud, receive feedback, and make new connections.
To submit, fill out the form below by August 22nd.
To get involved as a performer, director, or dramaturg, click “get involved” below. Submissions are rolling.
In the spirit of Free Fringe Philly, everything is free. Any donations received will be divided amongst the artists.
